Operating Room Registered Nurse - Travel/Contract

Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Shift: Day (4 shifts of 10 hours each; 10:45 AM to 9:45 PM)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Unit Census: 70-80 patients
• Beds in Unit: 24
• Call Requirement: 40-60 hours of call within a 6-week schedule
• Specialty Equipment: DaVinci XI robotic system

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Indiana
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, with at least some experience within the last year
• Experience in Urology and Plastic Surgery cases
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

• First-time travelers are accepted
• Locals are not accepted for this facility
• Effective 11/30/2024, Indiana RNs are generally not allowed to work at this facility except for Perioperative/OR RNs, Allied, and Ambulatory RN travelers (including ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS) who are exempt from this restriction
• Facility-specific orientation and compliance forms must be completed prior to start, including safety manual acknowledgment and confidentiality agreements
• Mandatory online training modules may be required depending on discipline (e.g., RRT candidates)
• Proof of valid driver’s license or passport required
• HIPAA acknowledgment and other facility-specific compliance documents must be completed
• On-site PAPR (Powered Air Purifying Respirator) use requires prior facility approval except at certain campuses where it is automatically approved

This position offers a specialized perioperative nursing role with advanced surgical technology exposure in a high-acuity environment. Candidates must meet strict licensure, certification, and health requirements and be prepared for a demanding call schedule.
