CT Tech - Radiology (Travel Position)
Location: Richmond, Virginia
Job Details
- Employment Type: Travel
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Hours per Week: 36 (varies; includes rotating weekends and holidays)
- Shift: Not specified
- Unit: Freestanding 12-bed Emergency Room with 7 vertical fast track area
- Patient Volume: Average 80 patients/day, 100+ during winter surge
- Patient Ratios: 4-8 patients per nurse
- Equipment: GE Optima CT scanner, GE portable x-ray
- Documentation Systems: Meditech, Sectra
- Floating: Not required
- Scheduling: No on-call required
Unit & Work Environment
- Busy, high-acuity freestanding ER
- Excellent teamwork and culture with high patient experience scores (>80th percentile)
- Moderate pediatric volume
- Acute Stroke Ready unit
- Procedures: Normal ER procedures only (no surgical procedures or biopsies)
- Dress Code: Grey scrubs required
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Virginia
- Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience as an X-Ray Technician
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
- ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Ability to work independently and cover both CT and X-ray modalities
- Acute Stroke Ready certification
