Description

Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery (Travel)

Location

  • Denver, Colorado

Job Type

  • Travel assignment
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Hours per week: 36

Unit Information

  • Labor & Delivery unit with 29 beds, including 4 ORs, 3 PACU bays, 12 Antepartum rooms, and 10 Triage rooms
  • Staff: 148 total
    • Day shift: 22 RNs, 2-3 CSTs, 1 Charge nurse, 1 Flex nurse
    • Night shift: 20 RNs, 1-2 CSTs, 1 Charge nurse, 1 Flex nurse
  • Patient ratio: 2:1
  • Equipment: Centricity and GE monitors
  • EMR systems: Meditech / CPN

Typical Procedures

  • Vaginal and cesarean deliveries
  • Dilation and curettage (D&C)
  • Hysterectomy
  • Postpartum tubal ligation
  • Cerclage placement
  • External cephalic version
  • Care for high-risk obstetrics patients

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Colorado
  • Labor and Delivery experience within the last year (minimum 1 year)
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Meditech EMR
  • PACU experience
  • OR experience
