ICU Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job - Chesapeake, Virginia

Job Details

Location: Chesapeake, Virginia (near Virginia Beach and Norfolk)
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night shift, 4x12 hour shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 48 hours
Schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 shifts; includes nights, weekdays, every other weekend (EOW), float, and holidays within contract
Patient Populations:
- Neurosurgical and post-stroke
- Respiratory failure
- Renal failure
- Post-surgical
- Trauma
- Sepsis and MODS
- Heart failure and post-cardiac catheterization

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
ACLS certification
BLS certification issued by American Heart Association
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Experience with telemetry monitoring
Experience with conscious sedation
Proficiency with Epic electronic medical record system
