Pediatric OR Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job - Boston, MA

Job Summary

• Position: Pediatric Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)
• Location: Boston, Massachusetts
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Shift: Day shift, 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (6:45 AM - 5:00 PM)
• Weekly Hours: 40 hours
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Work Environment: High acuity operating room (OR)
• Call Requirements:

  • Short call up to 3 times every 6 weeks
  • Up to 4 off shifts every 6 weeks
  • Up to 1 weekend shift and 1 weekend call every 6 weeks
  • Holiday shift and call coverage as needed

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Massachusetts
• Minimum 1 year of Pediatric Operating Room (OR) experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Requirements & Information

• Proof of name change documentation if applicable
• Respiratory Safety Clearance required for all travelers; facility-specific fit testing done onsite
• Drug Testing:

  • 9-panel drug screen within the last 12 months (not required for advanced practice nurses)
• Onboarding:

  • Completion of facility onboarding packet approximately 2 weeks prior to start
• Documentation:

  • All certifications and licenses must be verified within 30 days of start date
  • Background checks must be initiated within 24 hours of booking the assignment
• Vaccination Exemptions:

  • Separate exemption forms required for COVID-19 and Flu vaccines if applicable
• Local travel differential applies for candidates living within 50 miles (pay details excluded)

Summary of Work Expectations

• Provide pediatric nursing care in a high-acuity operating room environment
• Participate in scheduled shifts and be available for call, weekend, and holiday coverage as outlined
• Maintain all required certifications, licenses, and health documentation current and compliant with facility and state regulations
