Physical Therapist (PT) - Travel Position

Location: Aventura, Florida
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Hours per Week: 36

Unit Information

• Unit: Physical Therapy
• Number of Beds: 467 total, including a new 26-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF)
• Staff: Approximately 40 Physical Therapists
• Shift: Day shift only (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
• Patient Ratio: 1:1
• Equipment Used: Treadmill, car simulators, RT300, Bioness systems, BITS
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Call Requirements: Rotating weekends
• Dress Code: Light gray scrubs

Typical Procedures

• 1.5-hour long treatment sessions
• Attending team conferences

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Florida
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist, including experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• HHCCA - De-escalation Skills - Healthcare Setting
• Physical therapist competency assessment or understanding of USP 800 hazardous drug risks
