Description
CT Tech Travel/Contract Position
Location: Knoxville, Tennessee
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule
- 5/2 split nights: 5 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 5 days off, then repeat
- Night shifts, 11.5 hours each (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
- Must be willing to work 1 major and 1 minor holiday
Job Description
- Perform duties as a CT Technologist
- Cerner charting preferred
Required Qualifications
- ARRT certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
Experience
- No explicit years of experience stated; standard ARRT certification implies relevant experience in Radiology/Cardiology
- No prior travel experience required
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Background checks including 7-year criminal history, education verification, EPLS/GSA/SAM, and HHS/OIG checks
- Physical exam within the last 12 months (not required annually)
- Immunizations and titers required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (declination form required if declined)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (titer or 2 vaccines; boosters if titer low)
- Hepatitis B series or positive titer (declinations accepted only under specific circumstances)
- Varicella (2 vaccines, titer, or history of chickenpox; boosters or declination if negative/equivocal)
- Flu vaccine required annually during flu season (10/1-3/31) or approved exemption form
- Hepatitis A required only for select departments (not specified for this role)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 3 months or appropriate PPD testing
- Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen with alcohol test within 1 year of start and updated annually
- Fit testing for respiratory protection required
- Photo for badge with specific guidelines (recent, plain background, shoulders up, no filters)
- References: 2 professional references within 2 years required for travel positions
- Employment application and skills checklist (updated annually) required
Additional Notes
- Must complete facility-specific forms such as parking and fit testing forms
- Facility requires compliance with all health and safety documentation prior to start
- Orientation includes safety manual acknowledgement and HIPAA compliance
