Registered Nurse - Radiology (Travel)

Location

• Wichita, Kansas
• Unit: Vascular Radiology
• Floor: 1st floor, Main Entrance building
• Setting: Outpatient procedures with call requirements through the night
• Patient Ratios:

  • 1:1 during procedures
  • 3-4 patients in holding room depending on acuity
• Unit Size:

  • 5 Bay holding room
  • 3 room IR suite
  • 3 room CT suite
• Staff: 5 nurses and 5 respiratory therapists
• Documentation: Maclab and paper charting
• EMR System: Meditech

Job Details

• Employment Type: Travel
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift: Day shift 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM with call requirements at night

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience within the last year
• Radiology experience in an acute care setting
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Meditech EMR
• Experience traveling to large trauma facilities

Typical Procedures

• Kyphoplasty
• Y-90 treatments
• Peripheral interventions
• Stroke and trauma cases
• Diagnostic cerebral cases
• Drain placements and biopsies
• Thrombolysis cases
• Neuro coiling cases
