Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring a KS or compact RN license, ARRT Radiography certification, and a minimum of 2 years of IR scrub experience.
Details
- Hospital-based Interventional Radiology department in a siloed, fast-paced environment with high patient volume of approximately 60–65 cases per day
- Operates 7 IR rooms handling all line placements for the entire hospital, including outpatient services
- Primarily neck-down cases with some light neuro overflow (e.g., thyroid biopsies)
- Equipment includes Siemens Artis systems (Artis icono, Artis Q, Artis zee) — single-plane only, no biplane functionality
- Day shift, 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday
- No weekend requirements
- On-call required as needed
- May float to Cambridge IR
Requirements
- Active KS or compact RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
- ARRT Radiography certification required and must be in hand at time of consideration
- Kansas State Board of Healing Arts registration required
- Minimum 2 years of IR experience with scrub experience required
- 3 years of IR experience preferred, ideally in a large hospital setting
- Peripheral and neurovascular experience preferred
- Two professional references required
Additional Information
- Performs interventional radiology procedures in a high-volume, fast-paced siloed unit environment
- Orientation is held every Monday and Tuesday, with nursing orientation required Wednesday through Friday on a bi-weekly schedule
- Holidays are not required; however, if a holiday falls on a scheduled workday, the subsequent pay period will reflect a reduction for holiday pay hours
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
- New graduates will not be considered for this position
