Description

Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) - Travel Position

Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36

Job Overview

Work in a high-acuity hospital environment with advanced imaging technology including GE diagnostic rooms, portable units, Shiatsu, C-arms (OEC), and O-arms (Medtronics).
Unit supports a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, and Level III neonatal intensive care unit.
Imaging services include diagnostic radiology, portable imaging, trauma imaging, fluoroscopic procedures, and surgical imaging.
Electronic Medical Record system used: Cerner Rad Net.

Unit Information

Located on the 2nd floor, F tower.
Approximately 800 beds in the hospital.
Staffing varies by shift:
- Day shift: 16 technologists + supervisor
- Evening shift: 10 technologists, 2 student techs + supervisor
- Night shift: 4 technologists + supervisor
Weekend rotations and on-call duties required.
Dress code: Black scrubs.

Required Qualifications

Valid Radiology Technician license in North Carolina
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiology Technician, including experience within the last year
ARRT (R) Certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Radiography)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
