Description

CT Tech - Radiology

Location: Franklin, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Facility Overview

Critical-access hospital with 30 beds in Radiology/CT unit
Average patient volume: 71 imaging procedures per day (X-ray/CT combined)
Equipment includes GE Revolution 128-slice CT, GE digital portables, digital fluoro, and X-ray
EMR systems: Cerner and Philips Intellispace PACS
Radiology exam protocols set by radiologists and posted onsite

Unit Information

Staff: 14-15 techs total
Day Shift: 5 techs during weekdays (overlapping X-ray/CT coverage), 2 techs on weekends
Night Shift: 2 techs until 10pm-midnight, then 1 tech until 7am
Floating Areas: X-ray/CT
Dress Code: Navy or Black scrubs

Required Qualifications

Valid CT Technologist license in North Carolina
Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
Radiology Technologist experience
ARRT certification
BLS certification
Mandatory training in CT and Radiology

Typical Procedures

Routine CT and imaging procedures
Code Stroke CT imaging with perfusion
