Description
ICU Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position
Location: Charlottesville, Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Float Pool: Position involves floating to various ICU and intermediate care units including:
- Medical ICU
- Thoracic Cardiovascular ICU
- Coronary Care Unit
- Surgical Trauma ICU (Level 1)
- Neuro & Neurosurgery ICU
- Critical Care and Intermediate Care Special Pathogens Unit (COVID)
- Thoracic Cardiovascular Intermediate Unit
- Surgical Trauma Intermediate Unit
- Neuro & Neurosurgery Intermediate Unit
- ED Boarders (patients admitted but boarding in ED prior to room assignment)
Job Description
- Must adhere to float pool policy.
- Scheduling: Can offer 36 or 48 hours per week; every other weekend and every other holiday required.
- Time off: Cannot approve time off for Memorial Day or 4th of July; can approve up to 40 hours for time off.
- Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed.
- Clinical review and auto offer process applies.
- Epic electronic health record experience required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia.
- Minimum of 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system.
