Registered Nurse (MS/Telemetry) - Travel/Contract Position

Location: Edmond, Oklahoma
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (3x12 nights)
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Job Summary

• Provide nursing care on a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit during night shifts.
• Must be willing to float within scope to meet facility needs, including sister facilities.
• Charting system used: Epic.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Minimum 2 years of current experience in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing, with at least some experience within the last year.
• Minimum 2 years of current Critical Care nursing experience.
• Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  • EKG Course.
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
  • Telemetry Test.

Additional Information

• Floating to sister facilities is required.
• Block scheduling is not accommodated.
• Candidates must complete all required facility-specific documents and acknowledgments prior to start.
• Candidates must complete HealthStream modules and any required facility orientation classes.
• Candidates without recent Epic experience (within 6 months) must complete Epic training prior to receiving their schedule.
• Vehicle information documentation must be completed before clearance.
• ESI (Emergency Severity Index) certification required for ER nurses (not applicable for this position).
• Color blindness testing required within 60 days prior to start.
• Candidates must pass all required competency exams with specified minimum scores.
• Candidates must complete annual updates for certifications and competencies to remain in good standing.

Summary

This is a night shift travel contract for an experienced RN with critical care and telemetry skills. The role requires multiple certifications, background checks, immunizations, and compliance with facility-specific policies and training. Candidates must be willing to float and meet strict documentation and health requirements. First-time travel nurses are welcome, but local candidates within 75 miles are not eligible.
