Job Opportunity: Inpatient Pharmacist
Location
- Salem, Massachusetts
Employment Type
- Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- 40 hours per week
- Rotating shifts: Days (7:00 AM to 3:30 PM) and Evenings (2:00 PM to 11:30 PM)
Unit Description
- Inpatient Pharmacy
Patient Population
- Newborn through geriatric
- Includes medical and behavioral health patients
Required Qualifications
- Valid Pharmacist license in Massachusetts
- Pharmacy degree required
- Minimum 1 year of pharmacist experience within the last year
- Experience in an inpatient setting
Systems and Equipment
- Epic electronic medical record system
- Omnicell medication dispensing system
Certifications and Health Requirements (Must be current and verified prior to start)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) vaccination or proof of immunity
- Tuberculosis (TB) test within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test) and updated if break >6 months
- Physician health statement within 1 year of start date and updated if break >6 months
- Criminal background checks including Massachusetts CORI, national sex offender registry, and exclusion lists (OIG, GSA, Medicaid)
- Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission
- References: 2 within 4 years, including at least 1 supervisor-level reference
- Resume covering past 7 years of work experience with city and state details
Additional Preferred Health Information
- Hepatitis B vaccination or proof of immunity (strongly preferred)
- Tdap vaccination within 10 years (preferred)
- If positive TB test, documentation of negative chest x-ray required
