Job Opportunity: Inpatient Pharmacist

• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• 40 hours per week
• Rotating shifts: Days (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) and Evenings (2:30 PM – 11:00 PM)

Unit Description

• Inpatient Pharmacy

Patient Population

• Newborn through geriatric
• Includes medical and behavioral health patients

Required Qualifications

• Valid Pharmacist license in Massachusetts
• Pharmacist with at least 1 year of experience
• Recent pharmacist experience within the last year
• Degree in Pharmacy
• Experience in an inpatient setting

Certifications and Health Requirements (Must be current and documented prior to start)

• Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) vaccination or proof of immunity
• Tuberculosis (TB) test within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test) and updated if break >6 months
• Physician health statement within 1 year of start date and updated if break >6 months
• Hepatitis B vaccination or proof of immunity is strongly preferred
• Tdap vaccination within 10 years is preferred

Background and Compliance Checks (Required prior to start and updated as specified)

• Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start, including international residence/travel history for last 7 years
• Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start
• Social Security Number trace covering last 7 years
• National sex offender registry check within 30 days prior to start and updated annually
• Exclusion checks against OIG, GSA, MassHealth, and NH Medicaid lists within 30 days prior to start and annually
• Education verification of highest degree achieved

Submission Requirements

• Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state
• Two professional references within 4 years, including at least one supervisor or higher
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year
• Candidate submission coversheet (for initial assignment and new facility submissions)

Additional Notes

• Rotating shifts required (days and evenings)
• Experience with Epic and Omnicell systems preferred
• Prior travel experience is not specified as required
