Description
Job Opportunity: Stepdown Registered Nurse (Night Shift)
Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 18:30 - 7:00)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Unit: Stepdown
- Weekend shifts required
- First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma
- Minimum 1 year of Stepdown nursing experience, with Stepdown experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical Exam: Within 12 months of start
- Fit Mask Test: Required within 1 year of start; must be renewed annually
- Immunizations/Vaccinations:
- Adult Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
- Negative TB test (2-step PPD, QGOLD, or TSPOT) within 1 year
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required
- Hepatitis B: Positive titer, series, or declination accepted
- Varicella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or physician-documented history of chickenpox
- Seasonal Flu Vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
- Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
Documentation and Compliance
- Valid Driver’s License or State ID required
- E-Verify and attestation required for direct and subcontract candidates
- Complete employment application/resume required
- 7-year work history verification required
- Unit-specific skills checklist required annually
- Orientation safety manual and HIPAA acknowledgement required
Additional Notes
- Prior travel experience is not required for this position
- Candidates must be prepared to work weekends and night shifts
- All documentation must be current and verifiable at time of submission
This position offers an opportunity to work in a stepdown unit on nights with a reputable travel contract, suitable for nurses with at least one year of experience and required certifications.
