Required: Med/Surg and Step down required. May be floated to any area of the hospital

Job Summary:
Under general supervision, provides nursing care in a hospital to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex. Responsibilities include assuming responsibility for an assigned group of patients, documenting patient responses to interventions, assisting physicians during examinations and procedures, administering medications, and monitoring patient conditions. The RN interacts with patients and families to share care plans, informs them of hospital procedures, and makes referrals as needed. Delegation of tasks to support staff is also required.

Required Qualifications:
 

• 1 year of experience
• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
• Some computer skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing Board Approved Program

Required Education:

• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC)
• Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association
