Description

Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse – IMC/ICU

Location: Clinton, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Work in Intermediate Care (IMC) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with floating to Medical-Surgical (MS) and Emergency Department (ED) as needed.
  • Schedule: 3 shifts of 12 hours each, rotating day/night shifts (0700-1930 & 1900-0730).
  • Every other weekend required, totaling 6 weekend shifts (Saturday or Sunday) over a six-week period.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland.
  • Minimum 2 years of Intermediate Care experience, with at least some experience within the last year.
  • Minimum 2 years of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience.
  • Completion of at least 1 prior travel nursing assignment.
  • Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Additional Information

  • Orientation and facility-specific modules must be completed prior to start date.
  • Photo for badge must meet specific requirements (clear, centered, no glare, solid background).
  • N95 fit testing required within 9 months of start and updated annually (not required for sterile processing techs).
  • Background check and drug screen attestations must be completed by the staffing agency or credentialing team.
  • Annual recertifications and compliance requirements apply for ongoing employment.

This travel RN position requires ICU experience, prior travel nursing experience, and specific certifications including ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS. The role involves working rotating 12-hour shifts in IMC and ICU with occasional float to MS and ED.
