Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (CT/Rad Tech) - Contract
Location: Winnebago, Nebraska
Employment Type: Contract, Full-time
Shift: Overnight, 12-hour shifts, 7 days on / 7 days off
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Job Overview
- Perform a variety of difficult radiographic examinations including routine and complex exams.
- Qualified in at least one additional modality beyond general Radiology (CT experience required).
- Receive and prepare patients, explain procedures, position patients, select technical factors, and make exposures.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs during procedures.
- Maintain and troubleshoot radiology equipment including cassette readers and Picture Archiving Systems (PACS).
- Perform quality control (QC) for assigned modalities.
- Maintain records of patient workload, examinations, equipment, and radiation surveys.
- Participate in staff meetings to update and recommend new developments in radiology.
- Plan and coordinate radiology department operations and requisition supplies as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Nebraska.
- Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience, with experience within the last year.
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Bachelor's Degree in an applicable field, or 1-2 years of CT training.
- Experience as a Radiology Technologist.
Physical & Cognitive Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.
- Regularly required to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods.
- Use hands to operate computer keyboard and office equipment.
- Regularly required to talk and hear.
- Strong reading, writing, and calculation skills.
- Above average social interaction skills.
- Ability to work with minimal to no supervision.
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills, including in uncertain situations.
