Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Location

Salem, Massachusetts

Schedule

Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Every other weekend (EOW)
36 hours per week
Rotation includes days/evenings with 1 to 3 rotations to nights per contract

Job Description

Float Pool RN position requiring willingness to float to 8 different Med/Surg Telemetry units within the hospital
Responsible for cardiac monitoring, including measuring intervals and interpreting telemetry strips every 4 hours
Administer cardiac drips and manage TR Band
Patient care includes ED border patients, acute mental health medication nursing, and non-vented ICU transfer-ready patients
Patient-to-clinician ratio: up to 6:1 on nights, up to 5:1 on days and evenings
Charting system: EPIC

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid RN license in Massachusetts
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience, including experience within the last year
Minimum 2 years working as a Traveler
BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Experience with cardiac drips
Experience managing TR Band
