Description
Registered Nurse – Telemetry
Location: Salem, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, every other weekend (EOW)
Hours: 36 hours per week
Job Description
- Float Pool RN position requiring willingness to float to 8 different Med/Surg Telemetry units across the hospital.
- Responsible for cardiac monitoring, including measuring intervals and interpreting telemetry strips every 4 hours.
- Administer cardiac drips and manage TR Band.
- Patient population includes ED border patients, acute mental health medication nursing, and non-ventilated ICU transfer-ready patients.
- Clinician-to-patient ratio: up to 6:1 on nights.
- Charting system: EPIC.
- Rotation includes days/evenings with 1 to 3 rotations to nights per contract.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross
- ACLS certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Additional Information
- Free on-site parking available.
- Bed counts on units range from 8 to 41 beds.
- Must be willing to float between multiple units including Med/Surg Telemetry and Emergency Department areas.
- No religious or medical exemptions allowed for fit testing.
- Background checks and credential verifications are required and must be updated if there is a break in service longer than 6 months.
This position is ideal for experienced telemetry RNs with prior travel nursing experience who are flexible and able to work night shifts in a dynamic hospital environment.
