Description

Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Location: Beaufort, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks (with possible extension)
Unit: 5T - 22 bed adult Medical Surgical Oncology unit
Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours

Job Description

Must live more than 50 miles from the facility.
2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience required.
Experience in stepdown/Progressive Care Unit (PCU) required; Medical Surgical nurses will float to PCU as needed.
First-time travelers accepted.
Must already hold a South Carolina nursing license.
Shift schedule includes weekdays, every other weekend, float, and holidays as needed.
Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
IV start skills required.
Electronic Medical Record system used: Meditech.
Scrubs are not provided; dress code colors are royal blue/white.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina.
Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience, with experience within the last year.
Experience in stepdown/Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
