Job Opportunity: Mammography Technologist
Location: Newton, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (approximately 13 weeks)
Job Description
Seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures related to mammography.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Mammography Technologist license in Massachusetts
- Minimum of 1 year of Mammography Technologist experience within the last year
- Registered Technologist in Radiologic Mammography (RTRM)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Onboarding and Compliance Requirements
Candidates must complete and maintain the following prior to and during employment:
Health and Immunization:
- Documentation of MMR vaccination or proof of immunity
- TB screening within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test) and updated if there is a break in service longer than 6 months
- Physician-signed health statement within 1 year of start date, updated if break in service exceeds 6 months
Background and Verification Checks:
- Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start, including county and international residence/employment history for the past 7 years
- Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start
- Social Security Number trace covering the last 7 years
- National sex offender registry check within 30 days prior to start and updated annually
- Exclusion checks against OIG, GSA, MassHealth, and NH Medicaid lists within 30 days prior to start and annually
- Education verification of highest degree or certification achieved
Documentation and Forms:
- Submission of a detailed resume including 7 years of work experience with city and state
- Two professional references within the last 4 years, including at least one supervisor or higher in the relevant skillset
- Completion of a skills checklist within 1 year of submission
- Confirmation of assignment form upon acceptance and for any extensions or start date changes
- Self-study orientation and attestation specific to the facility
Optional but Recommended:
- Documentation of chest x-ray if positive TB test
- Name change documentation if legal name differs from credential documentation
