Description

Job Opportunity: Certified Surgical Technician (CST) - Operating Room

Location: Denver, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36 hours

Unit Information

Main Operating Room with 23 ORs
Staff includes approximately 70 team members
Day shift staffing example: 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, 2 CNAs, 1-3 sitters
Patient ratio: 1:1
Equipment: Operating Room-specific
Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech / CPN
Elective surgical cases only (no trauma)
Procedures include Orthopedics/Spine, Cardiovascular, Plastics, Gynecology, Robotics, and Urology
Teamwork-focused environment with a flexible personality fit preferred
Call required with a maximum 30-minute response time

Required Qualifications

Valid CVOR Technologist license in Colorado
Minimum 2 years of CVOR Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NBSTSA certification
DORA certification
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Certified Surgical Technologist experience in acute care settings
Demonstrated knowledge or assessment of Surgical Technologist skills related to managing hazardous drug risks (USP 800)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Orthopedics/Spine and Cardiovascular procedures

Additional Information

Elective cases only, no trauma cases
