Description

Job Opportunity: Certified Surgical Technician (CST) - Operating Room

Location: Denver, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36 hours


Unit Information

  • Main Operating Room with 23 ORs
  • Staff includes approximately 70 team members
  • Day shift staffing example: 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, 2 CNAs, 1-3 sitters
  • Patient ratio: 1:1
  • Equipment: Operating Room-specific
  • Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech / CPN
  • Elective surgical cases only (no trauma)
  • Procedures include Orthopedics/Spine, Cardiovascular, Plastics, Gynecology, Robotics, and Urology
  • Teamwork-focused environment with a flexible personality fit preferred
  • Call required with a maximum 30-minute response time

Required Qualifications

  • Valid CVOR Technologist license in Colorado
  • Minimum 2 years of CVOR Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NBSTSA certification
  • DORA certification
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Certified Surgical Technologist experience in acute care settings
  • Demonstrated knowledge or assessment of Surgical Technologist skills related to managing hazardous drug risks (USP 800)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Orthopedics/Spine and Cardiovascular procedures
