Shift Details

• Night shift, 3 shifts per week (Friday to Sunday)
• 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• On-call as needed for call-off coverage

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist
• First-time travelers are accepted (no prior travel experience required)

Job Summary

• Perform CT scans applying prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis
• Practice radiation safety methods at all times
• Select appropriate technical factors to limit re-exposure
• Use independent judgment and initiative in technical procedures
• Basic knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy required
• Provide patient care and communication to reduce patient apprehension
• Work settings include outpatient, inpatient, ER, Level I trauma, community hospital, and adult ICU

• IV starts
• Phlebotomy
• PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System)
• Contrast administration
• Experience with GE CT scanners

Certifications and Licenses

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in Illinois
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist, including experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ARRT certification
• IEMA certification
• Experience working in inpatient and outpatient settings
• Phlebotomy skills
• Experience with MEDITECH system

Documentation and Compliance Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Emergency contact form prior to start
• Background checks including:

  • Social Security trace, county, nationwide, sex offender, and employment verification for the last 7 years
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks annually
  • Illinois Adult Abuse Registry Search (can pend at start)
• Education verification (transcript or diploma acceptable)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask testing within 12 months of start (specific mask types required)
• Immunizations and titers:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (proof of immunity or vaccination per birth year guidelines)
  • Hepatitis B (titer, declination, or vaccine series)
  • Varicella (titer, vaccination, or history of chickenpox)
• 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start
• COVID-19 medical or religious exemptions allowed with proper documentation
• Flu vaccination strongly recommended but not required

Required History and Verification

• Resume required
• 7 years of work history verification (attestations allowed after 3 attempts)
• 2 professional references within 2 years of start
• Annual skills checklist
