Description

Registered Nurse – PCU

Location: Flushing, New York
Employment Type: Long Term
Contract Length: 8 weeks

Unit & Shift Details

Unit: Cardiac Stepdown (Progressive Care Unit)
Shift: Night (7:00 PM – 7:15 AM)
Hours per week: 34.5
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Float Requirement: Yes, to units within acuity and skillset
Call Requirement: None

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New York
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience, including within the last year
Minimum 2 years of vent management experience
Experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Stepdown units
Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association

Additional Information

Scrub Code: Navy bottoms with white top and dark shoes, or all white scrubs with white shoes
Interviews: Voice Advantage interview plus Nurse Manager screening/interview required
Weekly start dates; 4-6 weeks average to complete compliance
