Description

Registered Nurse - ER I

Location: Williamantic, Connecticut
Employment Type: Long Term
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, every other week / every other holiday (EOW/EOH)
On-Call: No on-call required

Job Description

Work in the Emergency Room with focus on trauma, STEMI, stroke, Behavioral Health Unit (BHU), and related emergency care.
Utilize Epic electronic health record system (preferred).

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Connecticut.
Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience, with ED experience within the last year.
Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
Certifications required:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Experience in stroke care.

Preferred Qualifications

Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification.

Additional Information

Shift length is 36 hours per night shift.
Experience in trauma, STEMI, stroke, and behavioral health is valued.
