Cath Lab Tech (Travel/Contract)
Location: Saratoga Springs, New York
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Shift: Day shift, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (9:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
- Call requirement: 9-10 days per month
- Work within a 50-mile local radius restriction (excludes certain counties in NY)
- Use of EPIC electronic health record system
Required Qualifications
- Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in New York
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist, including experience within the last year
- Certification: ARRT or CCI (RCIS)
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
Health and Compliance Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start date; must complete onsite physical with Occupational Health including a "TSH Medical History" form
- Negative TB test (2-step PPD or Quantiferon Gold) within 1 year; chest X-ray required if past positive PPD
- Immunizations or titers required for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (titer, declination, or vaccine series)
- Varicella (chickenpox)
- 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start (specific LabCorp panel required)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required by December 5th, 2024; mask required if exempt
- N95 fit test with OSHA questionnaire form; quantitative fit test for 3M 1870 mask accepted if done externally
- Color blindness test (Ishihara’s test) required prior to start; can be completed onsite
Documentation and Onboarding
- Government-issued photo ID (driver’s license or state ID)
- Passport-style photo for badge (plain background, head and shoulders, no hats or sunglasses)
- Signed FCRA Authorization Release prior to start
- Lift assessment (minimum 10-25 lbs depending on position) completed during Occupational Health appointment
- Completion of virtual general orientation and clinical testing modules via HealthStream by 7 a.m. Wednesday before start date
- Review of ECG study guide prior to start
- Completion of PPD questionnaire and N95 OSHA questionnaire during Occupational Health or orientation
- References: 2 professional references required for travel/allied/per diem acute care roles
Additional Notes
- Candidates must not have their primary residence in the following counties to be eligible: Warren, Washington, Fulton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Albany, Columbia, Greene, Dutchess, Ulster
- Occupational Health services billed to the staffing agency or subcontractor
- Strict adherence to testing and certification requirements is mandatory; remediation courses and retesting allowed for EKG competency exam failures with a maximum of 3 attempts
