Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room

Unit Information

• Unit: Operating Room (OR)
• Number of beds: 7
• Staffing: Typically 1 tech and 1 RN or 2 RNs per room
• Patient ratio: 1:1
• Equipment used: Robotics, Spine, Vascular
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Call requirements: On-call 1-2 shifts during the week and 1 weekend shift per 4-week period; rotating weekends possible
• Dress code: OR scrubs provided by the unit

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• Experience with orthopedic surgeries

Preferred Qualifications

• PALS certification
• CNOR certification
• Charge nurse experience
• Strong skills in observation, assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care
• Proficient charting, multitasking, critical thinking, and excellent bedside manner
