Description

Registered Nurse – MS/Telemetry

Location: Rochester, New York
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Floating: Required
Patient Ratio: Able to manage 1:5 to 1:7 patient ratio on MedSurg
Unit Description: Acute Stroke Unit (39 beds) specializing in acute stroke and neurological disorders, with an adjustable acuity care model for stroke prevention and acute care phases
Facility Type: Tertiary Care Hospital with 528 staffed beds

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New York
Minimum 1 year of telemetry experience within the last year
ACLS certification
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience with Epic electronic health record system
