Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery
Location
- Richmond, Virginia

- Contract length: 13 weeks
Unit Information
- Unit: Maternal Infant Unit
- Number of beds: 24
- Number of staff: 71
- Floor: 3rd, Atrium building
- Patient ratios:
- Labor: 1:1 (most of the time)
- Post-partum: 5-6:1
- Nursery: 5-6:1
- Typical procedures: Vaginal deliveries, C-sections, antepartum care, newborn and post-partum care
- Equipment: GE fetal monitors
- EMR system: Meditech, CPN
Schedule
- 36 hours per week
- Every third weekend required
- 12 hours of on-call per 4-week schedule
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years labor experience in an LDRP unit with high birth volumes
Dress Code
- Navy blue scrubs
