Description
Registered Nurse – Telemetry
Location: Salem, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Unit: 24-Bed Medical Cardiology Unit (Pingree 4)
Shift: Days, Evenings, Nights rotating every other week (36 hours/week)
Patient Ratio:
- Days: 1:5
- Nights: 1:6
Job Description
- Provide nursing care on a telemetry unit with a strong cardiac focus.
- Must be able to read telemetry strips and perform cardiac drips.
- Care includes post-cardiac catheterization procedures such as PCI, ICD, PPM, Ablation, TR Band, and femoral approach care.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts
- Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience, including telemetry experience within the last year
- Minimum 2 years working as a Traveler RN
- Minimum 2 years experience with a strong cardiac background
- Cardiology experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Current BLS certification issued by American Heart Association
- Current ACLS certification
- Ability to perform cardiac drips
