CT Technologist (General Imaging)

Job Type

• Contractor
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts
• Hours per week: 36
• No weekend rotation
• No on-call duties
• Holiday work: 1 summer holiday and 1 winter holiday expected
• Fatigue policy: Maximum 60 hours per week or 5 consecutive 12-hour shifts

Job Description

• Perform basic and intermediate computed tomography (CT) procedures under the direction of a Radiologist
• Patient types include inpatient, outpatient, ER, and some pediatric cases (mostly teenagers, 2-3 per month)
• Procedures include general anatomy scans, calcium scoring, coronary studies, stroke alert, CTA perfusion studies, chest, abdomen, pelvis, head, biopsies, and drains
• Patient ratio: 1:1
• Equipment: Experience preferred with GE CT scanners (GE Revolution and Evo models)
• Charting system: EPIC
• Orientation: 3 shifts to learn unit flow
• Support team includes other CT techs, Radiology RNs, Respiratory Therapists, Code Blue team, and centralized transport
• Floating: None
• Scrub color: Any except camo or denim

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience working in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Current BLS certification
• ARRT-CT certification
