Scientist - Lab (Travel Position)

Location: Corpus Christi, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Perform routine and complex laboratory procedures including specimen processing, testing, quality control, and reporting results.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments; perform minor repairs or notify biomedical support.
• Cross-train in multiple laboratory sections as needed.
• Utilize Laboratory Information System for data entry and verification.
• Notify and document critical laboratory values.
• Participate in development and implementation of new testing procedures and protocols.
• Perform patient-oriented tasks such as phlebotomy when required.
• Adapt patient care methods to meet population-specific and developmental needs.
• Comply with all regulatory and policy requirements.

Work Schedule

• Multiple shifts available, primarily day shift (05:00-13:30) and evening shift (13:00-21:30)
• Full-time employment

Required Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Medical Laboratory Scientist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year.
• Education equivalent to a U.S. Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology.

Licenses/Certifications

• Certification as MT, MLS, CLS, or MLT required.
