Job Opportunity: CT Tech

Location

  • Avon, Indiana

Employment Type

  • Travel/Contract

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Schedule

  • Night shifts: Saturday - Sunday 18:00 - 6:30, Monday 18:30 - 7:00
  • Shift options include 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts with guaranteed hours ranging from 36 to 48 hours per week
  • Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a CT Tech
  • First-time travelers accepted

Licensure & Certifications

  • Indiana Radiology License required
  • ARRT(R) required; ARRT(CT) preferred
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required (AHA or RQI accepted)

Preferred Certifications (not mandatory but recommended)

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)

Patient Population & Work Environment

  • Work with outpatient, inpatient, and emergency room patients (ER has 38 beds)
  • Preferred experience with neonates, infants, and pediatrics
  • Use of Cerner EMR and Synapse PACS systems
  • Department size: 85+ employees
  • Facility type: Short-Term Acute Care

Floating

  • Possible floating to sister facilities if needed

Required Documentation & Compliance

  • Valid Driver’s License or Passport (clear copy)
  • Background checks including 7-year history, criminal, sex offender, and education verification
  • Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months (no instant tests)
  • Physical exam within 12 months of start date
  • Fit mask test within 12 months (approved respirators required)
  • Immunizations and titers required or strongly recommended:
    • TB test within 1 year (PPD, QuantiFERON-TB Gold, or T-SPOT)
    • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; no declinations accepted
    • Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; no declinations accepted; history of disease not accepted
    • Hepatitis B series, titer, or signed declination required
    • Seasonal Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (9/30 - 3/31); no declinations accepted
  • TB Questionnaire updated annually
  • Color Blind Exam (Ishihara or equivalent) with 100% minimum score
  • Skills checklist within 12 months and annually thereafter
  • References: Minimum 2 from recent employment verified within 2 years; must be from charge, manager, supervisor, or above
  • Employment application covering 7 years with explanations for gaps over 30 days

Additional Requirements

  • Completion of facility-specific orientation, compliance, confidentiality, and policy forms prior to start
  • Must complete self-study orientation and test for this facility at least 1 week before start
  • HIPAA Acknowledgement required
  • Must meet all state license verification and background check requirements prior to start

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Valid CT Technologist license in Indiana
  • Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
  • ARRT(R) certification
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
