Work Schedule
- 3 shifts of 12 hours each (Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
- Rotating weekly schedule with varied days including weekends and holidays
Job Summary
- Perform and complete diagnostic CT and X-ray procedures following established guidelines.
- Prepare patients for examinations and ensure radiation safety for both operator and patient.
- Position patients properly according to department policies.
- Use GE and Cannon CT equipment.
- Typical department volume: 270-290 scans per day.
- Use EPIC EMR system.
- Dress code: charcoal grey scrubs.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Ohio.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist, with experience within the last year.
- ARRT certification in CT.
- ARRT certification in X-ray.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
Licenses and Certifications
- Ohio Radiographer State License.
- ARRT certification for CT Tech.
- BLS certification (AHA, ARC, or Military accepted; RQI acceptable).
- Additional certifications may be required based on unit description, but not specified here.
Eligibility
- Traveler’s permanent address must be more than 100 miles from the facility to apply.
Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 2 years prior to start, indicating clearance to work.
- Negative TB test (2 PPDs, QGold, TSpot, or MTB) within 6 months of start.
- Respirator fit test documentation within 1 year of start (renewed annually).
- Required immunizations or proof of immunity: Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B.
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption required by specified deadlines.
- Negative 9 or 10 panel urine drug screen within 90 days of start (marijuana tested, no medical marijuana exemptions).
- TB questionnaire within 90 days of start.
Background Checks and Compliance
- 7-year background check completed within 1 year before start date, including:
- Social Security trace
- County searches for last 7 years
- Nationwide criminal search
- Sex offender search
- OIG/SAM sanctions screening
- State-specific registry checks as applicable.
- Fingerprinting required, either onsite or at approved locations, with clearance prior to or on first day of orientation.
- Proof of name change documentation if applicable.
- Driver’s license required to be carried at all times if driving is part of job duties.
Competency Requirements
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam within 7 days of signing, valid within 2 years.
- Unit-specific competency exam within 2 years of start.
- Color blindness test required; must pass 100% (2 attempts allowed).
Documentation and Agreements
- Candidate agreement, confidentiality, and acceptable use policies must be signed prior to start.
- Service commitment form required.
- Medical and employee information release form required.
- Proof of auto insurance if driving is required.
