Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg

Location

Carlsbad, New Mexico

Work Schedule

Day shift: 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
36 hours per week
Floating and call required (call varies; call only for census flex prior to shift start if census is low)

Unit and Patient Care

Swing Bed unit providing Rehab and Med/Surg care within scope of practice and clinical competency
Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 8 patients
Unit beds: 1548
General skilled nursing (SNF) level of care nursing duties

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New Mexico
Minimum 1 year of Med Surg experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Rehabilitation experience
BLS certification required
Fingerprints required for all travelers to New Mexico (agency must be registered with the state for fingerprint processing)

Additional Information

EMR system: MedHost
Scrub color: Any color allowed
48-hour guarantees are not approved
Blocked scheduling may be accommodated if specified in submission
No regular on-call schedule for Med-Surg except for census flex call prior to shift start
