Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg

Location

Carlsbad, New Mexico

Work Schedule

Day shift: 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
Floating and call required (call varies; no regular on-call schedule for Med-Surg except for census flex call prior to shift start if census is low)
36 hours per week

Unit Details

Swing Bed unit with 154 beds
Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 8 patients
Scope of role includes general skilled nursing (SNF level of care) with Rehab and Med/Surg duties
EMR system: MedHost
Scrub color: Any color allowed

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New Mexico
Minimum 1 year of Med Surg experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Rehabilitation experience
BLS certification required
Fingerprints required for all travelers to New Mexico (agency must be registered with the state for fingerprint processing)

Additional Information

48-hour guarantees are not approved
Blocked scheduling may be accommodated if specified in submission
Position requires floating within scope of practice and clinical competency
