Cardiac Cath Lab Tech

Location: Miami, Florida
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36

Unit Information

• Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab
• Number of Beds: 4 rooms (1 patient per room)
• Staff: 22 (RNs and Techs)
• Shifts:

  • Day Shift: Director, manager, minimum 3 staff members per room
  • Night Shift: On-call team, 4 staff members on STEMI call
• Patient Ratio: 1:1
• Equipment: All GE rooms
• Documentation Systems: Meditech and MacLab
• Call Requirements: Maximum 15 days call during critical periods

Typical Procedures

• Cardiac Catheterization
• Cerebellar angiograms
• Stents
• Balloons
• ENT Lab procedures
• Scrubbing

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Radiology Technologist, including experience within the last year
• Cath Lab Technologist experience
• Certifications:

  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • TNCC
  • Cath Lab Tech Certification
• Knowledge of USP 800 Hazardous Drug Risk

Additional Preferences

• RCIS certification preferred
• ARRT certification preferred
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced unit
• Ability to function well independently
