Occupational Therapist - Acute/Inpatient
Location: Corvallis, Oregon
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days (7:30 AM - 6:00 PM), every weekend
Hours per Week: 40
Job Description
- Provide rehabilitation therapy to patients with injuries or conditions causing decline in self-care, physical mobility, or functional independence.
- Treat a diverse patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics.
- Specialty care areas include neurological conditions, women's health, lymphedema care, wheelchair fitting, hand therapy, and more.
- Work primarily in an acute inpatient setting within a level 2 trauma center environment.
- Outpatient services include one-on-one therapist-driven treatment using advanced equipment such as custom splinting stations, therapy pool with underwater treadmill, and separate adult and pediatric gyms.
Required Qualifications
- Valid, unencumbered Oregon Occupational Therapist license.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Rehabilitation Therapist, including experience within the last year.
- Experience specifically as an Occupational Therapist.
- Current Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Additional Information
- Weekend work is required every week during the contract.
