Description

Registered Nurse – Orthopedics (Travel/Contract)

Location: Pocatello, Idaho
Shift: Nights, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (18:45 – 7:15)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Provide specialized nursing care to orthopedic patients, including those recovering from surgeries or injuries and managing chronic musculoskeletal conditions.
Deliver care using the nursing process according to hospital policies and protocols.
Respond to life-threatening situations with appropriate interventions.
Organize care delivery by prioritizing, delegating, evaluating, and communicating with providers and leadership.
Patient ratio approximately 1:5 on a 10-bed unit.
Unit accepts first-time travel nurses.
100-mile radius rule applies; no local candidates considered.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Idaho.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Minimum 1 year of Med Surg nursing experience within the last year.
Orthopedics nursing experience.
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
