Description

Registered Nurse - Psychiatric (Psych)

Location: Norfolk, Virginia
Employment Type: Long Term
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

  • Float Pool position providing staffing support across multiple units including general care and critical care.
  • Assignments may include a variety of units such as Medical/Surgical, Hematology/Oncology, Progressive Care, Technology Dependent ICU, Inpatient Rehabilitation, Neuroscience, Emergency Department (Minor Care), Post-Anesthesia Care Unit Level II, Pediatric ICU, Neonatal ICU, and Emergency Department (Main Treatment Area).
  • Supported by unit leadership and report to the Operations Center Manager.
  • Shift: Day (AM)

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Virginia
  • Psychiatric nursing experience with at least 2 years total, including experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Experience working with Pediatric patients
  • Minimum of 6 months of travel nursing experience

Work Schedule

  • 12-hour day/night shifts
  • 36 hours per week, every other week schedule

Additional Information

  • Role is classified as Resource Pool (RP) Level 3 RN, capable of working in both general and critical care units within skill level.
