Description

Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery Charge (Night Shift)

Location: Glenwood Springs, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery (L&D) Charge RN to join the Family Birth Place team. The role involves providing couplet care in L&D, OR, PACU, and postpartum settings, caring for babies 32 weeks and older. The team handles a high volume of births (approximately 60 deliveries per month) and focuses on evidence-based, compassionate, patient-centered care.


Work Schedule

  • 12-hour night shifts
  • Rotating weekends
  • Call rotation approximately one 12-hour shift every 6 weeks (subject to change)
  • Approximately 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Colorado
  • Minimum 4 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, including experience within the last year
  • Experience in Charge nurse roles in Labor and Delivery
  • American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • STABLE certification (post-resuscitation care for newborns)
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
