Description

Registered Nurse (Telemetry) - Travel Position

Location: Manchester, New Hampshire
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36


Job Overview

  • Work on a 47-bed telemetry unit with a patient ratio typically 1:5, stretching to 1:6 as needed.
  • Unit includes semi-private and private rooms.
  • Equipment used: Pyxis, Alaris Pumps, Bladder Scanners, EKGs, Atrium Chest Tubes, Dinamaps, Vein Finder.
  • Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech Expanse.
  • Shift times:
    • Day: 06:45 – 19:15
    • Night: 18:45 – 07:15

Patient Population & Conditions

  • Vascular surgery
  • Bariatric surgery
  • General surgery
  • Telemetry patients with arrhythmias
  • Peripheral vascular disease
  • Sepsis
  • Atherosclerosis
  • GI bleeds
  • Chest tubes management

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire.
  • Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience, including telemetry experience within the last year.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
  • Current ACLS certification.
  • Current BLS certification.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with surgical bariatrics, cardiac care, vascular surgery, and wound vac/dressing changes.

Work Environment & Expectations

  • Team-oriented, hardworking, flexible, and able to multitask.
  • May float to similar med-surg units or other hospital areas such as PCU or ED if patient overflow occurs, caring for similar patient types.
