Description

Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse – MS/Tele (Night Shift)

Location

Chesapeake, Virginia (Coastal Virginia area near Virginia Beach and Norfolk)

Employment Type

Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Shift Details

Night shift: 4x12 hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Overtime after 48 hours
Option for 3x12 shifts available (indicate preference)

Unit and Patient Population

Medical-Surgical Telemetry Unit with Neurology/Stroke focus
Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 7 patients
Must have experience working with neurology and stroke patients

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience, including experience within the last year
Neurology and stroke experience
One completed travel assignment
Certifications:
- ACLS (American Heart Association)
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Experience with Epic electronic medical record system
