Description

Job Opportunity: CT Technologist

Position Details

  • Employment Type: Contractor
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: 10-hour Evening Shift
  • Hours per Week: 40

Required Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in CT imaging.
  • Skills required: IV skills, Power Injection.
  • Experience with trauma, stroke, and working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable using GE imaging equipment.

Certifications & Licenses

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in CT.

Work Environment & Support

  • Patient types: Inpatient, Outpatient, Emergency Department.
  • Patient ratio: 1:1.
  • Support available includes a receptionist during dayshift and hospitalist/physician available after hours.
  • Radiology resident onsite.
  • Tech aides and transport aides available on weekend night shifts.
  • Average scans per day: approximately 15.
  • Techs do not process scans themselves; processing is handled by a third party.

Orientation & Scheduling

  • Orientation: 1 day on the unit.
  • Weekend rotation: every other weekend.
  • Up to 7 days off can be approved.
  • No on-call requirements.

Equipment & Systems

  • Charting and equipment systems used: EPIC, Alaris, Pyxis.

Additional Information

  • Scrub color: gray.
  • Parking available for a monthly or biweekly fee; public transportation nearby.
  • Level 1 Trauma Center, Level III Perinatal Center, Teaching Hospital, Magnet Designation, Comprehensive Stroke Center.
  • Facility bed count: 397.
