CT Tech Travel/Contract Position

Location: Redwood Falls, Minnesota
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Work schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
  • On-call shift: 1 day per week (Sunday–Thursday: 10 hours call; Friday–Saturday: 12 hours call)
  • On-call hours: 9:00 AM – 9:30 PM
  • Weekends: As needed
  • First-time travelers are accepted
  • Traveler’s primary residence must be at least 25 miles from the facility

Required Qualifications

  • CT Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
  • ARRT X-Ray certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Preferred Qualifications

  • Training in CT and MRI
  • MRI experience is a bonus

Background and Compliance Requirements

  • Criminal background check within 1 year, including:
    • 7-year search, SS trace, counties, sex offender, nationwide
    • Education verification (diploma acceptable in lieu of third-party verification)
    • International background checks if candidate has lived/worked outside the US
  • GSA/SAM and OIG excluded provider checks required
  • Minnesota DHS NetStudy fingerprinting clearance required prior to start (candidates cannot start with fingerprints pending unless a “more time needed” letter is approved)
  • Candidates must complete the Minnesota DHS Net Study Questionnaire immediately after signing contract
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start
  • Drug testing (9-panel) within 1 year of start (not required annually)
  • Two professional references from recent employers within 2 years
  • Skills checklist required for all clinical candidates

Health and Immunization Requirements

  • Tdap vaccination required (no religious declinations accepted)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray per Minnesota state guidelines (2-step PPD or equivalent within 90 days of start)
  • Proof of immunity or vaccination for:
    • Measles (Rubeola)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B vaccination, positive titer, or declination accepted
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or declination required annually (mask required if declined)

Facility-Specific Requirements

  • Photo for badge: grey background, no selfies, JPG format with name
  • Dress code: review required prior to start
  • Confidentiality agreement must be signed before starting
  • Education modules to be completed during orientation (approx. 16 hours)
  • Candidates must return badges to manager on last day of assignment

Additional Notes

  • Annual background checks required by the staffing agency for direct candidates
  • Candidates with gaps of 30+ days between contracts or expiring background checks must submit new background checks
  • Fingerprint clearance process includes registration, fingerprinting within 2 weeks, and completion of consent/disclosure forms
  • If candidate is not within driving distance of a fingerprinting location, travel to a location is required before assignment start
