Description

Registered Nurse - ICU

Location: Springfield, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long Term Contract (13 weeks)
Shift: AM

Job Overview

Float position covering Medical HVCC, Surgical ICU (SICU), and Intermediate Care (IMC) units
Work in a 32-bed Medical ICU licensed for Neuro Critical Care patients, split across two floors
Patient ratios typically 1:2, with 1:1 for high acuity cases
Common cases include sepsis, end-stage renal disease (ESRD) and acute kidney injury (AKI) requiring CRRT/CVVH, post-cardiac arrest care, and respiratory failure
48-hour contract accommodations available

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Massachusetts
Critical Care Float experience
Critical Care Float experience within the last year
ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit experience
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
NIHSS
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS issued by American Heart Association

Additional Information

Seeking strong ICU nurses with solid clinical backgrounds; new graduates with only 1 year experience may be considered too inexperienced for this unit
