Description
Registered Nurse – Ambulatory Care (Urogynecology)
Location: Silver Spring, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM)
Hours per Week: 40
Job Description
- Work primarily in ambulatory care with a focus on urogynecology.
- Training will occur at designated locations before splitting time between two outpatient sites (2 days/week at one site, 2-3 days/week at another).
- Responsibilities include catheter insertion/removal, phone triage, and ambulatory/outpatient nursing duties.
- Preferred experience includes women's health/pelvic floor urogynecology, procedure assistance, urodynamics, and PTNS.
- Must be able to function independently.
- Charting is done using Cerner electronic medical records.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Minimum 2 years of ambulatory care experience, with at least some experience within the last year.
- Experience in an outpatient setting.
- Completion of at least 1 prior travel nursing assignment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Experience with catheter insertion and removal.
