Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR)

Unit Information

• Unit Type: Operating Room (OR)
• Number of Beds: 7
• Staffing: Typically 1 tech and 1 RN or 2 RNs per room
• Patient Ratio: 1:1
• Equipment: Robotics, Spine, Vascular
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Call Requirements: On-call 1-2 shifts during the week and 1 weekend shift per 4-week period; rotating weekends possible
• Dress Code: OR scrubs provided by the unit

Job Responsibilities

• Provide observation, assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care in the OR
• Must be able to scrub and circulate across all service lines

• Orthopedics

• Urology
• Vascular
• Podiatry
• Thoracic Surgery
• Plastic Surgery

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS
